2021. My First Table. Curly maple and regular maple, 37" tall triangular-top table. Hand-carved three legs into a "Y" shape with inspiration from a piece at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. I was inspired by organic shapes and making such a stiff material look soft and curvy.

I enjoy creating rounded organic shapes on such a hard, stiff material such as wood. The process of hand-carving and sanding wood to a soft-looking shape is a meticulous yet rewarding process.
