
2022. 18" x 24", Water-based Oil Paint. I saw this statue in the Galleria dell'Accademia, I loved the emotion the woman was portraying. I then decided to use all of my leftover yarns from my weavings of this study abroad semester to surround her and hand-beaded her crown.

2022. 10" x 14", Water-Based Oil Paint. Florentine inspired pomegranate painting. Pomegranates are a strong inspiration for many Florentine patterns; fabric, wallpaper, etc.

2022. 10" x 14", Water-Based Oil Paint. Based of Giambologna's 1579-83 Rape of a Sebine Woman marble sculpture. The copy of this piece can be found in the Piazza Signoria in Florence, where I had first admired it. Later, I was able to see the real statue in the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence. I focused on the patterns I found while in Italy, I also seemed to always be stopping to look at every statue I came across. I created this painting to have these two ideas of my own focus come together.

2022. My First Apartment. 7.25" x 9.5", Water-Based Oil Paint. For this painting, my professor asked us to paint something that was different about Florence than back at home. I had never lived on my own, and this was my first apartment. It will hold a special place in my heart so I painted the view from my kitchen window.

2020. 20 "x 30", Acrylic Painting, Glitter, Beads. Acrylic painting using a self-made stencil technique. This painting consists of many layers of shapes created with masking tape stencils I individually cut out. Every shape or different color you see I created a stencil out of masking tape and filled in the space with acrylic paint. I then embellished with beads, yarns, and glitter. The design comes from a one-line contour I drew.
