2022. Hand-dyed cotton: direct dye application, stencils, stamps, and screen printing. I thrifted lamps and took off the original lamp shade fabric, and replaced it with my own fabric, then added trim.

2021. Hand dyed fabric with different fabric design techniques to apply patterns: stencils, direct dye application, sceen print, stamps/block print, and monoprint. I used a thrifted jacket and sewed on my fabric. Embellished with buttons, beads, and embroidery floss.

2019. Mixed Emotions. 12" x 12" x 12," Embroidery made into a three-dimensional cube. For each side of the cube, I embroidered a face: all blind contours of my own facial expressions. Each side represents a different emotion: blue:sadness, red:anger, orange:surprised, yellow:happiness, purple:disgust, green:sickness/overwhelmed.

2021. Three brooches of hydrangea, blue lady rose, and daffodil, all hand beaded with a felt backing. I gifted each of these pins to each of my grandmothers.

2020. Embellished Corset, variety of beads, embroidery floss, and lace. I chose a male model for this corset to symbolize the restrictions put upon females in our everyday lives. Putting dominantly female burdens, pressures, and expectations (the corset) upon a male body and having him attempt to do his daily tasks as we do everyday.

2022. Hand dyed fabric and screenprinted hand-drawn chairs as well as pillows. Everything that is shown in the scene is blue: blue side table, blue coaster, blue mug, blue lava lamp, blue chair, blue boots, blue scarf, blue knitting project, blue cake on a blue plate, and I wore all blue as well. I was obsessed with the idea of a blue scene filled with only blue things.

2022. Hand-Made Fairy Dress. I dyed a corset dress, then embellished with beads and lace. I dyed 10 yards of cheesecloth variations of green and screen printed hand-drawn images of birds and flowers as well as using hand-carved blocks to block print bees and flowers. I had a layer of fabric underneath, hand-dyed different colors; brown, green and purple. These fabrics in the underneath layer also had patterns from screenprinting, direct dye application, block printing, and stenciling.

2021. 2" x 2," Embroidered self-portrait.

2021. Screenprint. Inspired by Andy Warhol's 1964 silent film of the Empire State Building.

2019. Dedicated to you. Cyanotype fabric, pointalism technique and ink painting for the hand-drawn designs, and photo print negatives. 13 iconic pieces of artwork throughout this piece, and a record player with three of my favorite albums.

2018. My Cabinet Of Curiosities. Fabric cabinet filled with some of my most precious items. Everything is made of fabric, and stuffed with either cotton fluff, cotton-wrapped wood, or cotton-wrapped bend racks. Everything was either hand or machine sewn. Decorative techniques such as free-motion sewing on the sewing machine, embelishing with beads, and creating shapes with fabric (such as quilting).

2018. Gone But Not Forgotton. Cyanotype fabric, hand-drawn with pointalism the negative of each of these deceased iconic musicians. I then used a found guitar and applied in a collage-like way the fabric faces. On the back, I wrote lyrics from each of the artists.

2018. Feeling Purple. Fabric collage self-portrait. I was thinking of the saying "feeling blue" when creating this piece. I wondered, can you feel other colors of emotion as well? Feeling purple to me felt as thought I would be in a state of serenity, so I depicted this was different variations of purple fabric in a self-portrait manner. This is strongly inspired by textile artist Bisa Butler.

2018. Zoe. My junior year in high school I started an IB art class and my first assignment was to create a mixed media piece. I had never worked with multiple medias at once before but found myself enjoying the experimentation. I had just discovered blind-contours. I wanted to create a piece that expressed me as a person and as an artist, because I had never done so before. I chose myself as a subject and used many fiber materials to create this piece. This was the piece of artwork that made me realize my hand in textile work, and this project alone lead me on the path I am today.
